ditto. was going to order a copy of computer music last night, but my girl and i are fairly broke, and getting it to texas isn't TOO too cheap. my girl convinced me to wait, so it's gonna be a little bit before i get my hands on it. =(

i've got it but haven't watched it.

he has a daft setup with one monitor although according to the article the next one is on order. he also has a dj hero turntable underneath his midi keyboard which although mentioned in a photo caption isn't referred to in the article, he probably says something about it in the video but i can''t be arsd watching it. haven't watched one since the super furry animals one pissed me off.

did he say anything about the dj hero thing?

i've got a shit setup but from the pics i reckon i'd still rather be on mine than his.

Thought it was quite crap myself. There is far more in depth and concise info to be found in this very forum. Innovate, not emulate..
Sorry that came out wrong, by all means learn from what ppl do. No matter how much talent we all have, we all have access to an almost unlimited sound palette of sounds. If your making a tune and it dont come out as dubstep. big feckin deal. The best you will ever produce is the stuff thats inside of you. Writers mostly write about what they know. It takes a hell of a lot of talent and dedication to produce something that is not true to you, Me included i dismissed so many songs because the didnt comply with "insert genre here" Or some "Masterclass" that i had followed.

Production aint no part time job if your serious. Music though. Big ups and much respect to everybody thats finished what they have started.

Just do it.

Is he working with Reason in the masterclass or Nuendo because I read somewhere he switched over to that, I may be wrong though.

He mentions in the article that he recently switched to nuendo.
but the article's on reason, and (haven't seen the masterclass yet, but 99.999% sure) the masterclass is as well.

ahah i just watched nathan barley for the first time last week. so good. That fake porn video they watch in the 3rd episode is one of the funniest things ever.

as for that song. sorry i cant picture this standing the test of time, theres no music in it. just like an disjointed aggro sequence of wobs and sound effects.

I'm not entirely into his stuff but he makes tunes that people play and has made a name for himself fairly quick. Gotta respect that.
