main sections reverb on insert

am thinkin of the idea where your drums/bass for exmpl are not completely at the front (slightly reverbed bout 9-10% wet),,,in that case they're not so harsh and are the nearest part to the listener again...

someone tried this ?

I didn't quite understand your post, but will tell you what I do in case it is what you mean. On my tracks I usually use one short reverb and one long one, set up on bus channels. Most channels will have a send to at least one of the reverbs, which are relatively low in the mix - it helps to glue everything together.

reverb @ 9-10% wet sticked on the drum channel...They would be slightly back in the image now but still at the front and a bit more polished

Yeah... people do that.
Insert vs. send doesn't really matter though, they do the same thing, sends can just be controlled easier.

yeah, there really is no difference. all you're doing by putting the reverb on the main channel, instead of the return track, is altering the ratio of wet/dry signal. so if it's 10% wet on the main channel, that would be the same as 20% wet on the return track with your drum midi track being dry.

oh, but yeah. it's easier on return tracks because you can send multiple tracks to the same effect chain.

i dont think they're quite the same thinkg...

with sends you're mixing the dry signal with the wet like layering or so...in the other case the dry signal is getting wet and it doesnt matter how small amount youre tweakin
