How to make this kick?

Post by Chambo_ XKRT » Wed Apr 11, 2012 6:09 pm

Yo guys! Just heard the A-trak remix of The Night Out by Martin Solveig, and before you bite my head off, yes I know it's a house track, but damnnn, has to be the best kick i've heard, any of you guys got a few tips to send me in the right direction?

Great remix, I heard it on 1xtra the other day.

The kick is doesn't sound that special to me though, I think it's just from one of the Vengeance Electro House packs.

seems like a basic kick from a sample pack, most likely vengeance electro. you're hearing that interesting click because of the transient shaper's attack and release. eq boosted probably around 105-110 if i had to guess

A good strong click, with a light subkick. Check out Mono Poly for some crazy kicks.
