Post a video/link to a track that you're vibing off right now, and a brief description about what you like about it's production.

Spectrasoul - Fools Paradise

Love the intro swirly pads and what vinyl crackle that is going on there. Vocal has an ethereal feel to it, can hear the drum proper doing the sidechaining suck in and out on the ambience. Goodd vibes all round really, and a really REALLY crisp clap/snare that seems to hit the right places for me.

Amazingly well written and structured, His use of samples are great and just over all feel to the track floored me the first time I heard it. Just wait for 1.22 ;) Beautiful. I think its because i'm a sucker for the oriental style music!

Not particularly this song but rhythm and sound/basic channel, I love the texture the songs have.

Lion FX - Tuff Kid

Soundcloud

What's not to like? Authentic nod to 1980's electro, but with very crisp modern production. Catchy as hell hooks. Great separation of all elements - nothing crowds anything else. Each element has its own place in the mix and sits nicely.

Mothboy - Sullied by the Wayward

Soundcloud

This is very different from the track above. Sludgy, doom-hop type track. Nice crunch on the guitars, with good sub support from the bass. It's a rough mix, so I have no doubt that Mothboy will make the drums come out a bit better for the final... The piano is effectively used as a glue to bind everything together, and the vocals that sprinkle the top give just the right amount of clarity in the sound.

Love the percussion, as well as that airy vocal type thing that Biome always seems to work into his intros as well as his standard reeses. My favorite parts are when the drums first kick in, and the switch up where he drops out the percussion and starts the riff. Always loved Biome's drumwork, while usually pretty simple, always gets me nodding my head

I know I'll probably get murdered for this but oh well here we go:

It's the drop. The way the kick and that sample/synth bass hit...ugh it's just gut WRENCHING and I love it. Also what's cool is you can tell they use the technique of having a volume change when the drop hits. Cool effect.

Culprate's production generally. His drums have such a clear and nice sound, and his general sound design and synth design is just incredible.

Mount Kimbie - 50 Mile View

I love the abstract style they use in the first half of the song. All the elements seem to build a sort of tension that gives the track more energy. Then after 2:05 everything comes together. The vocals he drops in are a style that i've been chasing forever. Btw if anyone knows some tips on creating something like that i'd really appreciate it. :)

the lo-fi pad glow. brings a weird nostalgic feelin to me every time i listen. have yet to purchase the cassette and take a proper listen to the entire LP so I could really only judge the 3 tunes on the album that were released for free. love the entire leaving records label and their artists, always putting out great releases.

Everything from the new Lorn LP, Ask the dust: http://ninjatune.net/release/lorn/ask-the-dust
Excellent drums across the whole LP, obviously great mixdown and mastering. I Especially like Ghosst, Weigh Me Down and Diamond, but he rest is great aswell. The synth work is just great, big screaming bass and lead on Ghosst and Diamond. The background drums on Weigh Me Down are :o The drop on this is biiig! Lorn is a league on his own, very unique sound imo. His previous album is is great aswell :e:
