*ignores previous pages, only replies to first post*

id like you all to bear in mind that im relatively 'new' to dubstep - midnight request line was my first experience, which was what, '06? heart it on gilles peterson, and loved dubstep since... im not a dubstep HEAD, but i like it... therefore my views are of someone outside looking in.

dubstepforum.com? of course its a retard magnet.... dubstep has become a retard magnet.

anything successful becomes that way, and it has to fight to keep its integrity... for example, a well known vw show im involved in, is successful to the point of it being a retard magnet.

but why would this happen to dubstep i hear you ask?

simple: all the retards who were into the really bait drum and bass because it was 'soo bassy fam!!!' are now into dubstep... and most likely, the really bait dubstep.

imo, if dubstep as a genre is to survive this, its creators must mark a difference between dubstep as a musical art form, and dubstep as throwaway dirty beats...

theres been many cases of this in the past... just look at what happened to hardcore in the 80s. and jungle in the 90s. and garage in the 90s.

not many genres survive the wave of popularity.... can dubstep?

Heat a pan with a decent splash of olive oil and a large knob of butter then add four or so finely sliced four shallots, three crushed cloves of garlic and around half a sliced scotch bonnet (more or less to personal preference). Turn the heat down a touch, place the lid on the pan and sweat for about five minutes. Once the shallots seem soft enough add your choice of sea food (precooked stuff is fine, a mixture of squid, prawns and mussells goes well), season with salt and peper and heat through gently before adding a glass or so of dry white wine and banging the heat up a bit. Meanwhile cook some fresh Linguine, drain and toss in a very tiny bit of olive oil. Once the smell of alchol evaporates from the seafood turn the heat off and spoon in some Crème fraîche, stir through and add a generous amount of chopped capers. Add the linguine and stir through. Serve it with a decent amount of black pepper on top and probably some caper berries, oh and a nice light white wine.

Don't eat it before you go out on a Friday though cos you'll reek of garlic.
