"raahh.. we're gonna get evil on you now, make some space, make some space"

"big, Big, BIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!! "

sound familiar?
yeah, but the MC doesn't sound like a complete bellend.
well he does a lot of the time.... I go to a lot of the nights and the mc will pull up a track after like 1 or 2 two bars shouting "FUCK OFF FUCK OFFFFFFFFF". Also, there's a hell of a lot of stuff that sounds like digi versions of heavy metal tracks going around at the moment. A lot of aspects of dubstep nights are very similar to metal nights although everyone tries to distance it as much as possible
theres a big difference between an MC, and a singer who would usually sings about relationships breaking down and being bullied at school. At the end of the day... Metal.. which i have absolutely no problem with... crosses over quite nicely with dubstep (reso, Claw, Atreus, DISTANCE)... but Enter Shikari... are not... in anyway whatsoever 'metal'... they are the arse of alternative music... they make it shameful to be in to music with guitars and electronics in the same tracks... and really... they probably read about dubstep in a "Whats all this hype about" kind of column in kerrang! or something...
agreed 100% with this man.

my housemates band supported enter shikari a couple of times and rou is a right arrogant bastard.

think they originally had a couple of good party type tunes down, but then didnt keep up with them post album release.

Seen 'em twice back in them days

But that video is a big LOL.

I hope they never do that again.
Everyone says this, but I saw them once, my mates band were supporting them at an alldayer in a local venue, and all the little hardcore kids were going nuts, but I would of fallen asleep had I not already done so through "My Demise."

I really dislike it when bands try and make the crowd do things (like human pyramids or that prick from cradle of filth trying to make everyone scream "fuck" together) anyway.

Also, their music is shit.

I read this thread cause Enter Shikari are from near me, used to play in the youth centre before they got big. I used to be a fan back in the day, although they have ripped some of their songs off (check anything can happen in the next half hour, then get a korg Electribe EMX and look at the demo songs...seriously).
Everyone here is giving them a proper hard time, so yeah I listened to the track...

what.

it's literally the worse fucking wagonjump i've ever seen. i mean basing a rock song around a FUCKING WOBBLE? and +1 on rou being an arrogant tnuc, seems like he's trying to be an mc now rather than vocalist.
he sounds/looks like a pussyole as well.

They must have read that article that was in NME, titled something like "What is dubstep(zz)"

His tunes are good but if he can make good tunes why does he think it's acceptable to get up on stage and perform that?

It's right that people are getting influences from dubstep but at least put a bit of effort into it and don't just throw in a standard wobble, they put on a good show when I saw them a few years ago, they fused electronica pretty well, shame they haven't done the same here

ohh dear.

watching this gave me sensations i have only experienced with gastroenteritis or the after effects of a rancid lamb bhoona.

the perpetrators of this monstrosity should be brought to justice, possibly being pelted with the after effects of said lamb bhoona.

Capo Ultra wrote:It makes alot of sense too me. Alot of what Dubstep has become (away from the central innovators) is so white it hurts.
Tenner says this poster is white.

I don't mean to be flippant, but it is always white people who say music is "too white".

Here's what I don't understand about the extreme reactions to this: does it hurt the music that you like? By all means laugh and take the piss out of some rock kids not getting dubstep right, but ultimately what effect does it actually have on you? Those who watched the video and felt in some way upset by it - you knew it was going to be stupid before you watched it, right??
