Do u think Dubstep will die the same way Bassline/Niche did?
Sorry, i thought id just post for example of how this is damaging the scene.ThinKing wrote:@ Wolverine99 - posting links to free rips of tunes only helps to spread them further. Please don't do it in future.
Alot of negativity in this thread, i dint cause upset for all those people who told me to shut up etc. Just my thoughts on the topic thats all. People are so defensive these days, i could find tons of forums that give away Dubstep tunes for free, theres no stopping it. Internets a powerfull weapon of destuction.
the only thing that will make "dubstep die" is negativity in the scene.
the only place i have experienced any negativity about dubstep is on the internet. the only place. dubstep is worldwide and growing at an incredible rate, i cannot see this taking anything even remotely like a backwards step for a long time...
i don't understand why people want to bring up this topic so often.

Don't tar all kids with the same brush, alot of young dubsteppers are into dubstep way more than just "jumping on the scene". Loads of sick young producers about.Wolverine99 wrote:Also too many youths jumping on the scene these days. Example, the kid who posted the 'Cokey' thread the other day if some of you remember, he must of been 13 or so lol.
check my sig
agreed , horrible.Wolverine99 wrote:Now that was uncalled for.skrewface wrote:why wont you die like bassline/niche did
mate, dont listen to em.... this forum gets all uppity when heaven forbid you have an opinion or dare to suggest that dubstep isnt all that amazing alot of the time and may well have a limited lifespan
the people gunning you down on this thread have as much idea as u or i whether dubstep will die or not .... ie not a lot cos none of us can predict the future
but theres nothing wrong in making the suggestion. certainly its unfair to have a pop at u for asking a perfectly reasonable question imo

I don't think Bassline is dead.. loads of fresh stuff coming out these days.Wolverine99 wrote:I have a slight feeling Dubstep will die the same way Bassline did,
Wolverine99 wrote: Bassline died because too many people (mostly teenagers) was getting fresh tunes that wernt even released and was playing them out on nights, on there phones on buses trains and street corners lol. This made it hard to generate money to the producers, most of the top named bassline producers have started making Funky House tunes now - Dj Paleface, Mr Figz, Wittyboy for example.
Heres one of the things i was talking about -

RIP Funky
Skream and Benga were pretty young when they started producing.. don't know what's your point.Wolverine99 wrote: Also too many youths jumping on the scene these days.
will dubstep die like bassline? i dont really think so, at least not in the same way.
one thing to point out, dubstep started, and later bassline did, and has sorta died off, and dubstep is still going. so right there things are already different.
imo, the thing that killed Bassline is Funky. most people that would be into Bassline like Funky more. fans and producers/djs. it's just a more exciting scene right now.
