In load's of dub step, especially the wobble stuff there's funny cuts just before the drop... Is it actually cool?
I've just finished a track with a "cool" cut before the drop but it's quite controversial...
The track is called,
Suprise Sex.

Leave me your thoughts, good or bad?

Yeh, thats your point of view... I wasn't asking if my sample was cool, I was just saying is it cool to use those sort of lil cuts on a track.
No woes though man, hope you enjoyed the track besides the sample...

Do what you want bruv. It's your music.
If you like it, then I'm sure there are plenty of others out there that will too!

I don't think there's anything wrong with that sample, but my opinions aren't always to many peoples agreement
Stick with it, do whatever you want. Progress through experimentation is all we can hope to achieve.

Safe, appreciated...
I'm not trying to be bold about the sample, I just wanted to know if people thought those type of drops are cool???

dont worry what people think
like caeraphym said experimentation is what pushes music forward....and this often creates the NEW "cool sound"
funny how that works isnt it!

Yeah, I think samples like that are sick. I'm sitting on a great sample. It's of a meth addict talking about how she was shooting up meth while 6 months pregnant!

i'm not sure about the jimmy carr thing? but the track its self is good. I don't think his voice sound lends itself to the whole 3 am on the railway tracks - dirty K thing....
(what the fuck do i know though.....)

The tune is sick. I just hate Jimmy Carr!!! Not sure about a comedy sample in such a dark tune

but thats just opinion.
Also isn't the first rule of cool not having to ask whether it is cool. You just gotta know it!

Yeh... I agree, using a comedy sample in a dark track shouldn't work but the contrast breaks it away from "sterotype" dark genre... I know it's dark but it's just a strong, deep rhythm to me, it wasn't intended to be dark just deep....

if you're gonna be offensive, i reckon you should be proper offensive, go all the way or the impact just isn't the same.
