Here's summint i cooked up on Cubase the last couple of days, its just a snippet and far from finished, i just wanna know your initial thoughts on it.

Easy and welcome.
Nice first attempt. Cant really say that i like all the synth sounds but some of them are sounding good. drums sound nice and free with a bit of a swing to them.
Im liking the vocal that you brought in at the drop just the bassline and synths could be varied a bit more.
Nice try.

Good effort!
It lacks rhythm a bit though, sounds quite trip-hoppy, what kind of sound were you going for insperation wise?
I'd say the bass definatly needs more rhythmic definition, not neccesarily wobble, but something, it could help make the track move more. Also try adding some more percussive elments, experiment with differnent quantization grids (try a triplet if you want a more "bouncy feel to the track).

Yeh i definately need some sort of low sub bass carrying the tune a bit.
And i dont really know what sound i was going for, i tend to just make the tune and do what feels right as i go along!
