Just to drop my two pence on this thread living in leeds, i have got to say i hate the faversham as a dubstep venue and the cattle market girls it attracts. When coki was playing new bohemia last week a girl actually said, look coki's on now, my response was unless coki is white and wears glasses he's not on now.

After the last few times it has actually put me off going to dubstep nights there which is a shame because there's some big names coming down but the atmosphere is gash. Not meaning to offend anyone i guess it's just the clientel really.

Maybe I'm just bein a tnuc, in fact I probably am but hey.

  Gav don't worry it's all love
vagabondz is not new bohemia or jagerbomb, we make a fucking effort to get enough system in, put together really varied line ups of different genres of music and build our residents and get them gigs up and down the country and at festival abroad...

we do our shit mid week---fav is the best mid week venue cuz u can walk to it from hyde park

the people come down on the whole know what there listening too and like the scene...and yeah we get some fit brainless girls too, but thats a good thing....if it means you might have to book someone big and bate like plastician or rusko (who are sick anyway i dont care what people say) so you can get people to come down and see our live band and up and coming artists like sukh and stench so what at least when they are there you can feed em something new....dont hate

vagabondz tonight....come peep for yourself...then bitch after

Bruv did you not read what I said? I said you guys push your shit hard and at no point did I slate you or what you're doin. I know you put a lot of effort in, you guys put events on in at least 3 other cities. I made a comment about the people who in my experience have attended so please don't take offense.

Jeez

EDIT - Sorry for the thread hijack bruv

How can people knock the heads who reach Vagabondz??? I'd rather play to a room full of up for it party people than a room full of chinstrokers any day, and as a punter I'd rather be surrounded by them as well.

If you come out to dubstep nights to be an elitist then stay at home.

Guys, lets all chill our beans.

Dub25 wanted to know if there were plenty of other dubsteppers in Leeds and now we've got promoters squabbling.

Dub25 - As you can probably see there are loads of very passionate dubstep heads in Leeds and plenty of sick nights - Subdub/Exodus, Ruffage, Vagabondz, Winston's Garden, Room 237 and others. And, on the whole, everyone's very friendly. Leeds is a good place to be.

Leeds has a strong healthy scene. yeah u get 2 many posh students, but hey..its leeds, its a huge university city.

I agree with Gav, theres plenty of room for different styles and crowds.

leeds is a wicked place to go and see music full stop, great events great people great venues great promoters.
Leeds has had a wicked vibe for many years, been hitting dnb raves in leeds past 6/7 years and it's only getting bigger and better, hopefully many more years to come as well.
Ruffage tonght will be large and i'm sure vegabonds last night was wild, tho being a mon-fri, 9-5 head i miss these mid weekers. haha.
if ya into this music and your at leeds uni you made a good choice simple :D

contradiction no?

anyway big up plastician you got me into this scene along with skream.

But now i would much rather nod my head to a Ramadanman dub than go mental to a Rusko dubplate. So if i want to do this i shouldn't go to dubstep nights? oh seems i got the wrong genre.. can u suggest another genre that i should go to as there seems to be no room in this elitist free scene.

Whats to say the two tracks can't be played at the same venue?

Lastnight vagabondz was absolutely fucking sick, one of the best nights I have been to since Heny G at Ruffage... Plastician absolutely spanked the shit out of that place the vibe was stupidly electric!

Do what u do & do it to the best of your ability dont watch other people. Far too much politics in Leeds man I swear it pisses me off. We should have a big Vagabondz, Ruffage & Winstons Garden combo party I swear that would be nuts!

Lets squash the beef before it starts chaps!

This is where the party is:

"i require a cleaner for a couple of hours a week. im a part time nudist- ie when my lodger isnt about so you must be ok in seeing full male nudity in various states of attention.
you are welcome to be nude/topless too and id be willing to up the wages if you are.
i don't require any polishing of my own- if you know what i mean- however if you need the extra hours this could be arranged too.

a genuine advert.
wages are negotiable."

Ruffage this Friday man with Joker, Chef, Ramadanman, Pangaea, Ben UFO

http://www.dubstepforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=71003

Get on it
if that aint a bit of a piss take i dont know what is. also u cant call our crowd a brunch of posh twats thats a massive fucking generalisation. espacially since most of the ruffage crew's parents have a few quid handy...not thats even a bad thing.. dont want beef with anyone because that not what we are about, we throw fucking parties...moaners can piss off...we are working hard with Djs in the scene and ramadanman and ben ufo are booked on one of our upcoming escapades in london in tandem with the rest of the outlook crew...i agree with plastician if u support the scene u should support it all and not bitch about ur contemporaries

why not move things forward and shout out about what a sick weekend leeds has in store rather than spouting ur mouth off about how shit our crowd and venue are on the day of our gig.

Vagabondz smashed the granny out of it last night..
Good luck ruffage tonight
standard subdub will be huge...
