thuggish / gangsterish dubstep

Post by phaseone » Sat Feb 07, 2009 2:45 pm

can anyone recommend some tracks with vibes similar to "think your greezy" by el-b... stuff with real ghetto and gangsta vocal samples. sorry if this is an over-american way of describing things.

thanks

maybe not thuggish but starkey definitely has more of a street/hiphop sound. argon definitely has a couple joints too like the above mentioned babylon & antiserum tracks

and i'm probably gonna get flamed for this but since we're on topic of hiphop and bla bla thuggish production (?), is it me or does Loefah's- "YOURS" RNG001x sound just a wincy bit like an Alchemist track?

i think loe himself would say that itsyours is just a way of bigging up all the history behind that tune.
his version sounds ridiculous on a big system, and with many of his beats that's the point. they don't translate on headphones well, but in a big club...carnage.
