My first attempt

Post by double-i » Wed Feb 04, 2009 11:05 pm

This is my first try to make dubstep, i would like it if you listen to it (its only a short clip) and then tell me what i could change, if something was good, if somthing was bad and so on.
I use FL, and i would be thankful if someone could give me any tips on what effecs i could use to change the bass sound and make it sound better.

I will be happy for any tips :)

bro youve got 2 boost the snare a whole lot. cudnt move my head to it coz of that. and distort the wobble. i did like wat u had goin on with the hats and the kick. but sounded a bit empty when it sounded like u were tryna make it sound full, u get me?

+1 on the snare. Its being drowned out with reverb maybe keep taht one but layer another one with a lot less reverb, that way you keep the space but add more bite to it

distortion is an effect, usually makes the sound crunchier and not so smooth kind of thing. the fruity fast dist is pretty weak tbh. thers a few threads on here about distortion vst's. lok them up on the search.
