28-02 DELETE with PINCH, ALEX FISHER LIVE - Bournemouth

The first Delete party of 2009 will be a return to the motherland, but don’t expect the same Delete that wobbled it’s way out of The Winchester one sunny morning last September. Bringing a fresh approach musically and making use of the plush surroundings of The Winchester for a whole night, we will be continuing in our mission to create the kind of night that you’ll want to tell the grandkids about.

We’re very chuffed to be bringing Pinch to Bournemouth for the first time. As the brains behind Tectonic (not to mention some of the most heart and gut wrenching productions of the last few years) the man known as Rob Ellis is one of the leading lights in the thriving Bristol dubstep scene. Combining the finest bass-heavy dynamics with introspective soul, you can hear a rich tapestry of influences at work in everything he does. If you haven’t heard his debut LP ’Underwater Dancehall’ do yourself a favour and buy it now. There’s not many albums that can reach you on so many levels and yet still retain the riddim.

Meanwhile Alex Fisher will grab you in a whole different way. Crafting his live sets out of a purely hardware set up, the man has an uncanny knack for truly classic house music, full of analogue warmth and grin-inducing grooves which will have The Winch’ bumping effortlessly. He’ll be joined by our brother in arms Chris Box, who never delivers anything less than world class jackin material, Tone Def who is journeying even further into the depths of deep house music, and Mr Smith with his relentlessly driving techno vision.

FUTURE DATES:

April 25th // Secret London Location // DELETE & RUNSOUNDS

RAMADANMAN, dub KULT LIVE, SPATIAL

This will be another heavy session of dubstep and techno nonsense. Rammers needs no introduction, what with having one of the best labels in the UK and some of the sickest releases of the last year. dub KULT has been a trooper on the UK scene for years, taking the minimal techno aesthetic and sticking it to a psychedelic template of sound collage and pounding rhythm. Spatial is a regular lurker on these boards, and his debut EP on Infrasonics was nothing sort of heeeeeeaaaaaaaavy!
