Interesting tune to do a remix of, i've allways wanted to do a Tool remix.

I think your track a little bit all over the place, maybe make the bassline a bit more distinctive, it's kind of lost in amongst all the different noises, just tidy it up a bit.

I'm about to listen, but I wanted to say in advance, this better be the best fucking remix I have ever heard or I'll gouge out your eyeballs and skullfuck you for ruining a Tool track.

Just saying.

Ideas are there, but i think it needs a bit of work.

I'd possibly recreate your own drums for some of those fills that don't have the vocal, think it would fit better and some of the quantize seems off, this I think could also be easily rectified if you used your own hits.

On a related note:

Tool are the best band ever, i'd be interested to hear any other Tool remixes!

Tool are for me the best of what rock has to offer. EVER. (them and The Mars Volta. Also, this is IMHO)

Sorry to be so direct, but I really don't like this. It sounds random, chaotic (and not in a good way) and the samples you took from the track are there just as an excuse for this track to be called a remix. You're doing the original tune no justice.

Sorry, again, but I had to.

Tool are one of my all time favourite bands.
I'v never dared to even try remixing one of their tunes, Their time signatures are sometimes a bit too much.
I am very interested to hear this remix & hope that more people will join the tool remix theme.

No it's not. If you knew the song, you'd agree.

I like it man. I think the samples from the original track should be a bit louder though.

I'm actually working on a dubstep mix of the track "Aenima". Been focusing so much on DJing it's hard to get back to producing.

I actually did a house remix of the Tool track "Jimmy" a few years ago. Every time I'd play it crowds would go wild. Lot's I'd like to fix on it though with all the more that I know now. But I will probably release it some day.

Ok so first off I would like to say that TOOL is the best at what they do!!
they are for me the peak of what music can be, now I also feel the same way about allot of dubstep I hear BUT......
I don’t hear enuff metal in dubstep so I decided to do it myself!
in my defence I finished my FIRST original track on jan14th of this year
This is also my first remix I have ever attempted & I wanted to do a remix of my fav track

I do admit that I’m a beginner at what I do
so me doing a remix of masters at what they do is kind of ridiculous...
but fuck it

I just finished another metal inspired track its the first in my player

Im with you tbh, I recon the drums would be alright, if they smack through the mix abit more tbh, the bass seams way to high and is over powering other elements in the track, as is said its a good idea but defiantly need some work.

i had to be sure so i listened again.......look you cant just take what ever samples of a song you can get a clean cut of and lay them on your own drums and synths without consideration to how the original song was written.this particualr tool song like quite a few is a very complex one if you know how to play guitar bass or drums or you know the lyrics you know its a lot to remember.its epic....like 13 minutes long.that being said i am pretty sure i heard those samples out of time in a few places.aside from that there is no progression in the song you wait for it to do something and it doesnt really.the ideas are there but that doesnt mean its a good song to rmx as it is hard to find direction.i still stand by saying that rmx'ing this song is an abomonation and it is an absolute disservice to anyone hearing this tool song for the first time who does not know how great the original is. i am not trying to bash your work at all i just think that a certain level of discretion is in order when choosing a song to rmx
