MPD 24 problems with Ableton
The MPD works pretty well with ableton right out the box, but I have a few issues.
The rotary knobs don't allways sync when assigned to a pramater in Live. It doesnt seem to be related to certain plugins. Ive had the same problem with the sliders but far less common. Have any of you experienced this?
Does anybody know if its possible to use the MPDs transport controls?
Im running USB only btw.

If my calculations are correct, when this baby hits 88 miles per hour, you're going to see some serious shit.

this might have something to do with ableton's limitation of only being able to assign to 128 parameters. i think they have changed this in 8.

they fixed it in 8. not in 7. so still could be an issue. depends upon the parameters he is working with.abZ wrote:I am told they have fixed it. Not sure if that would be his problem or not tho.sapphic_beats wrote:this might have something to do with ableton's limitation of only being able to assign to 128 parameters. i think they have changed this in 8.

no, doesn't have to do with number of parameters, I have the same problem no matter how many parameters I'm using. Rather the problem seems to stem from the knobs not sending the right values to my PC.
I'll take that as no body else has any issues then?

Which firmware version do you have installed? I had random issues with knobs (values changing without touching them etc. etc.) with 1.07, they were gone when I upgraded to 1.09. The latest one available is 1.10.The Get Down wrote:no, doesn't have to do with number of parameters, I have the same problem no matter how many parameters I'm using. BTW, if you can, do the firmware upgrade at Akai's service center or something - the story how my MPD got bricked (and unbricked, scroll down for English version): http://www.odra1300.org/2008/03/jak-nap ... brick.html
