Dave Q featured in Timeout New York this week!!

Post by seckle » Thu Feb 19, 2009 7:35 pm

I think most of you have seen the Dub War podcasts on itunes and on here. All of them from the 1st have been forward thinking and pushing boundaries. Well seeing as Dave doesn't get enough credit for all the blood sweat and tears he puts into the Dub War party, it's only fitting that he get's this kind of recognition in the local magazine.

He's the featured DJ this issue of timeout New York. At the bottom of the article there's a link to the mix, and it's seriously one of the best Dave Q mixes yet. Don't miss out, and big up to Dave getting some magazine love!

Dave's the man. Every time I read another story about how Dubstep came about, and who created it, and how the name came to be, etc... I just want to say HOLD THE FUCK UP, Dubstep exists outside of this bubble of 4-5 producers in Croydon.

Enter Dave Q. Prime example of putting your money where your mouth is. No press. No billboards. No Mixmag Top 229847249827894. No love.

If anyone deserves thanks it's him. I know there are countless people who literally owe Dave Q for them getting into Dubstep. Either they came by accident, or had heard about Dubstep and never got a chance to hear it live. Dubwar has changed lives. Dave Q is one of those unsung heroes.

Well Aretha has her hat on... YoYo has his backing track ready... the Oath has been bungled.... YOU'RE UP DAVE! Your time!

your opinions on funky, and now the conception of dubstep, point towards a bizarre complex you have about the english

regardless, big up dave q your last set at DMZ was heavy and i look forward to hearing this mix

Look at the roster for our label and try again.

This thread is about Dave, not you, I or the British.

Yoink!
Grabbing this now.
I can't wait til April to hear you, Joe & Jua at the legendary Paradox down here in Bmore. They're expecting roughly 2,000 to show, it's gonna be ridiculous.
