PROPA TINGZ
In this blistering 25 minute mix PropaTingz deals a swift smack pon side the head to genre rigidity and exposes some of the freshest cutting edge productions styles that are claiming center stage in the international Bass music scene.
Originally hailing from the UK PropaTingz made his way to San Francisco and has since emerged as one of the hottest names on the US Nu-school electronica scene.
Under his previous moniker as BreakBeatBuddha he helped forge the now lauded California Glitch Hop scene alongside artists such as the Glitch Mob, edit and Laser Sword. As Propa Tingz he is widely acknowledged as the pioneer of Glitch Step, a bad bwoy sound clash of Bay Area Hyphy, Dirty South Crunk, UK Bass and the cutting edge of Glitch.
The PropaTingz “Glitch Step” heat has created a stir globally and has caught the attention of scene heavy hitters most notably Freq Nasty (who collaborated with him on PEACEMAKER, a tear your face off DubStep/Baltimore mash-up) and Hip Hop Legend KRS 1 with Heavy Weight Dub Champion (see track 14 on the mix, “RISE”).
Also featured in the mix is unreleased pressure from the scenes new superstars; Check out new bad bwoys on the Dubstep block “16Bit” and there rerub of the Propa Tingz smash “Babylon’s Scared” and the psycho wobble of Rafferties Bigger Bass remake of “Food for Animals”.
Other highlights include PropaTingz “Hustlers Concerto” (which proved to be a smash amongst Glitch and Dub heads alike) and unreleased filth in the guise of “Wickedest Sound”.

Eccentric, nomadic, these are some of the nicer terms used to describe Brian Gibbs AKA Gunjack. One Canadian DJ spat: “Fuck him and his gypsy ways”. Whatever your experience with the prolific and mysterious GUNJACK, music speaks for itself and his speaks volumes on life experience.
Ben Sims calls him “Savage… A techno monster”, A Guy Called Gerald called Gibbs “The future of techno” back in 1996! Warp records golden boy Flying Lotus says: “I love his music” and ex Napalm Death Drummer Mick Harris AKA Scorn calls the music of Gunjack “Fucking punk”.
The more than a hundred vinyl releases in Gibbs’ back catalog are well sought after within savvy circles and have been republished on compilations like I LOVE TECHNO and MAYDAY
Currently Gunjack is focusing on what he calls a “hybrid” sound, or “mongrel music” that straddles the line between off beat techno, dubstep and music that does not apologise.
