People using Ableton and Reason

Post by legba » Mon Dec 19, 2005 2:23 pm

Do you have them rewired to each other ? If so what sort of configuration and routing do use.

I recently starting playing around with having Reason as a midi slave to Ableton and bringing a single audio track back into ableton. Which not the most tweekable of setups but could be if I set the mixer up in reason a bit better.

Anyone do anything more advanced or different ?

I write what i need to in reason then have the whole lot rewired into a single ableton audio track. If needs be you can always record seperate sounds and tracks from reason staright into ableton. Sometimes it canes the CPU but once that starts happening i just start bouncing stuff down.

I use ableton more for the sample side of things...adding FX etc.

I only rewire Reason to Cubase so I can use the Cubase mixer.
In terms of production what can you do with Ableton?
