Its from Watchmen. I don't want to explain what it is because it's an epic moment in the book. Read it before the film!DJelements wrote:Been meaning to ask you, is the stuff in your sig from a comic? And if so, what comic?

I really need to whip it out and read it again.Tomity wrote:And this music is one reason of many why dubstep doesn't go down very well here. I'm still going to try though, just to see the look on peoples faces

I just watched the whole thing right now, and... Huuuurrrrgh. I'm in France, and here we had the "tecktonic" this summer. Pretty the same damn thing : teenagers gone wild (except here kids don't do that much drugs
) listening to poor "melting pot - recycled" music, and screaming at flash-stars which would be forgotten 6 months later.
I especially like the ending of the documentary where we see those poor guys in their normal life, bored as fuck and playing console.
I'm actually writing a short essay on UK dance music culture's "bad side", and this Donk is defo the best thing that has ever happened to me as regards documentation on that subject...

My Sound [-o-] Yes, it's THAT good. So click, b-tard.
they're not though, are they. they're making the point that if it wasn't for their music they'd be sitting around doing fuck all with their lives.urk_le_sauvage wrote:I especially like the ending of the documentary where we see those poor guys in their normal life, bored as fuck and playing console.
i mean whether or not you think it's shite music there's something to be said for it if it's changing people's lives for the better. more community centres like the one in part 1 of that documentary would do a lot of fucked off, bored kids a lot of good all over the country.
fucking terrible music though isn't it

2. theyre having a laugh and clearly dont give a fuck about london.. doesnt mean its the 'bad' side of dance music culture.. as opposed to the 'good side' - pretencious head nodding to technically advanced beat patterns i suppose?
The thing is you can make the links to a similar mindset all over the country. These same peeps would be into jump up DnB if they were down south I'm sure. The passion for it is still there its just they happened to be born up here where donk is the prevalent music. It really is everywhere. Bar the typical commercial stuff, rock/metal and northern soul there are no other nights around here.
hmmm wonder how long till the caspa and rusko remix
