Quite like the elements, but the drums need a bit of processing - the kick gets lost in the bass line and the snare's just too dry, maybe a high pass on the kick above the sub frequency and a little reverb (and maybe a doubled snare sound) for the snare.
Motors along quite well, like the angry troll bass line. Think maybe the groove of the bass could do with syncing better with the drums, as it doesn't quite gel at the moment.
Like it though, nice to hear someone realising that dubstep doesn't necessarily mean halfstep.

Hmm....

i like this, liking the hardcore-esc drum fills, i'd say the mixdown sounds a bit flat though the drums dont really punch through the mix, the bass is sick but i'd say hammer the eq or multi band compression a bit more, i'm told all elements need space within the frequency range so this might mean cutting frequencies in places to keep the elements sounding clear and defined.

cheers for the feedback

some tips i've found useful:greenbuddha wrote:need to read up on eqing - any pointers to tutorials>>>?
cut don't boost
if poss do each element individually
high pass anything that should't have low end in it
400hz is mud city central
subtle eq works best
use it to make sounds fit together like building blocks ie. chip away till it sits but don't sledge hammer the whole brick.

the bassline do with a little more brightness in my opinion
the snare is quite thin it might need more low mid
your reese bass tends to muddy the tune, i would eq some of the low mid out
nice groove though, like the pads too
it needs more work on the mixdown, my advice will be don't overdo eqing, don't cut or boost more than 6db, lowpass and hipass the sounds that need it, if you find yourself having to over eq a sound then you probably should look for another sound, having good source sample is the key
