my hard drive with all my sample libraries on it i can't get to pop up under bios or seem to power up
thankfully all my current projects samples are in the main directory but still that's gigs of shit

oh it's backed up on dvd somewhere
but when i say gigs i mean like 40+ gb of data
the whole point of having multiple hds is so shit like this doesn't happen damn it
oh well worst comes to worst data recovery firm is getting some $

surely you can only back up so far, having a seperate HD, then backing that up too is loooooooong

I thought my hard drive had died earlier this year and I'd lost all my music and samples. I was somewhere between extreme sadness and extreme rage.
But yet I still haven't got everything backed up since it came back to life.

since moving to a laptop i havent backed up anything.
is it inevitable that i will lose all my shit at some point? as in....how likely is it?
