DJ Clipz is known for his wank clownstep tracks, the rest of his work is either Jump Up or shit attempts at Jazz Step Drum & Bass. I don't know that EP because I don't care for his work. DJ Clipz is a joke. The name even shows he cares more about mixing (which he is sick at tbh) than making tracks. He should stick to mixing Jump Up for pikey chavs dressed up in argos 9carot gold.
so once again talking shit with no backing to it
What do you mean talking shit? Your all the way in NY, you dont know the DnB scene in the UK. WHich part of that was shit?

I know more about Jungle / DnB than you mate. Every DnB head I know hates Clipz, his tunes are terrible, the only good thing about him is his DJ'ing. I bet you couldnt even name 5 subgenres of DnB, so stop talking out your arse, its opinion at the end of the day... and mine is worth more because unlike you I love Jungle and Drum & Bass. Remember my username used to be 'Junglist' You dont know jack shit bitch. The mere fact you like clipz shows you fucked up and dont know your dnb. I love jungle and drum and bass with all my heart, and fakers like you make me sick. Your one of these ppl who just jump from scene 2 scene because of the thing thats popular. Me I know my DnB all the way back to Hardcore in the early 90's and back to Techno in Detroit, so suck out!
nice edit btw
clearly you know so much about jungle you forgot about a lil tune called cuban links
we can make this a dnb tune battle if you so wish
I'm sorry are you saying Jungle and Drum & Bass are the same thing? Because I'd never heard of that tune and had to google it. And that is Jump Up, a sub genre of DnB. NOT JUNGLE!!!
Jump up is almost as shite as Clownstep.

The fact you missed up jungle (which died in 96') with a crappy jump up tune is laughable.

And I dont make DnB, I'll happly make a trance tune, or minimal tech house. whatever.

I've been wondering myself how Rusko got those sounds of of Albino.

The best way to learn is by copying, and the video isn't enough of an explanation of how he made that sound.

Most dubstep basses are very similar to Rusko's just at a lower octave, so I don't see how someone wondering how Rusko did it is such a bad thing.

when it's the same topics popping up over and over again without people simply using the search function it's more fun to go off topic

I'm sure you do have records older than me. But I obviously know more than you about the genre of Drum & Bass and Jungle. Which is what we were arguing about. It's got nothing to do about US vs UK, I mentioned the UK Drum & Bass scene because Clipz is from the UK, and plays the majority of his sets here. Also Drum & Bass is more popular per person here than in the US, also the context is different. It's my understanding that the US has a larger Techstep scene than here in the UK. But you probably don't know what Techstep is considering you don't even know the difference between Jump Up & Jungle.

everybody hold the fuck up, does personal taste come into this shit/good dnb argument at all. stop and ask yourself, do you think others are entitled to their own personal taste and opinion?

I for one am interested to see this vid, any chance of someone upping it?
No, I don't personally like rusko but I am inspired by seeing other producers at work and their approach to things, there is a lot to be learned...

You Guys Should Just Have A DnB/Jungle Trivia Death-Match To See Who Really Knows More About Dnb/Jungle/Drum and Bass

and then have a minimal techno tune fight.

A ya bunch of poofs, DJ Clipz is one of my favourite producers, and Rusko has some weighty smashing tunes too! :)

Admittedly, I don't like all of Clipz & Ruskos tunes, but I'd rather listen to Clipz, Rusko and The Prodigy before listening to Skream & Digital Mytikz.

I like Clipz ultra tight production and simple, catchy basslines. He is one of my inspirations from a production point of view.

I'll tell you this for nothing. Let's get the production forum slightly more on topic eh girls?

Its the same thing with Clipz as with Pendulum and many others. When you hear their first tuners, your blown away because its new shit, has nice production and a genuine approach. Then a few years later you have to recognize that they are repeating themselves over and over, and basically become their own cliche. But this also holds true for oldschool Jungle, just consider the whole shit which came out on Dread after Dread006 or so. Jungle rinsed itself to death too.

And as a sidenote, the pissing contest "My DnB is better than yours" really makes me laugh :D Music is subject to personal taste innit

sorry to jump in but where is this video?

I been playing with Albino3 a bit in the last weeks so would like to see what is possible.
Don’t worry about people stealing an idea. If it’s original, you will have to ram it down their throats.
