Just wondering... did you actually try Logic before thinking about buying a Mac?

absynth has an AU .component file as well. Most of the big plugins have both a vst and au version. It's usually just the small stuff or free vsts that you can't really get as AUs.

first things first, logic DOES NOT USE vsts - it uses Audio Units (AUs). so god knows what 'vsts' you were using if you managed to get them to work in logic..

No. Have looked into this but I don't think its worth it. Want Apple support, and i'm sure your restricted when it comes to updates for Logic, which isn't a good idea.

Plus I have no idea when it comes to building PC's, getting all the compatible hardware, bla bla bla. I did look at Psystar but they're in trouble right now (as what they're doing is illegal). Plus it would mean having to import it from the US. Missions and time!!!!

And yes, I have used Logic on the Mac before. Just want reassurance its gonna perform how I want it too. Especially for them moneyz.

Yeah its made by Fx expansion. Its a wrapper, thats quite tempremental. I get quite a lot of graphics errors with it.

Why would one buy mac book pro, which is expensive as shit, to run VMware and windows and fruity loops? Just buy a PC. The ONLY reason I started using macs was so I could run the latest version of Logic. Which, I suspect, is the reason most people that switch to Macs for audio.

I can recommend crucial too. upgraded my macbook to 2gb a week after I got it, easy to install too.

from what i understand it's harder to do with a macbook pro though.
