I've always thought the quality was pretty good to be honest..
I just had to leg it to my records to check on my copy of Fallen, thinking please don't be warped but it seems fine..
Always a weighty piece of vinyl and a good cut. How loud is Emalkays, Gut Feeling / Frequency release.. damn fine cut all round.. and one of my fav Boka release's.
I ain't gonna go there but some other records you pay top dollar for seems to come on a 'flexi' disc / paper thin vinyl and sounds shite, with a really quite cut.. It amazes me that they get pass the TP stage, surely that's one thing you check for when you get your TP's back.

For sheer weight, feel and volume, the Mystikz come correct everytime.
Except my copy of Goat Stare is warped BADLY.
Probably postage...I got it from Germany.
So... England --> Germany *sits in warehouse* -->australia

i got one record on boka (which is my only dubstep record actually) and it's in a good state.
a friend of me, who also spins dnb, like me also has got some other stuff so last time i went mixing at his house i noticed he had a boka record which was in an awfully poor state.
completly wrapped to one side so when you pull the record back it'll keep turning for some time, when you want to adjust pusing at the side of the vinyl it'll skip,..

Wow… only just seen this post.
I don’t want my label to be seen as some cheapskate thing – so i’m gonna have my say.
First of all, despite some of the bullshit that gets chatted on here, dubstep is still a small scene in comparison to others and there is not that much money to be made – I could go work on a building site as an unskilled labourer for two weeks and earn more money than a release makes.
I’ve worked hard with Boka over the last few years and had some big releases from the likes of MRK1, Slaughter Mob and helped bring through some talented names such as Distance, Emalkay and Sound Proof.
We try to deliver the best product that we can, and we are one of a few labels that doesn’t just reflect what’s big in the scene, but we try and progress the music – offer something a little bit different.
Secondly, I apologise for anyone who got a warped copy of fallen – trust me this pisses me off too. The TPs for this release seemed fine, and it would be impossible to check every single record of the main press.
If anyone does need another copy of fallen and is struggling to get one then get in touch, i’ve got a few knocking about - info@bokarecords.co.uk

cheers man. it's not cheap, and it's not easy EVER. alot of us small fry underground labels work hard everyday at regular jobs and sacrifice quite a bit to get this music to ya.Prof. J-S wrote:I’ve worked hard
even the cheapest press is gonna cost you at LEAST 900 GBP for a SMALL run.
at least people are trying.
