Utterly noobish question about records and their centerholes
So I've bought Zomby's new ep from my lousy local music store.
The centerhole in this said record is absolutely too small to fit on my record player. Should I/Dare I take the record back to the shop without seeming like whiny bastard?
thanks.

Its an annoying one. I normally just make it fit. After doing it a few times its normally ok.thecatinside wrote:So I've bought Zomby's new ep from my lousy local music store.

Better for it to be tight instead of it being really lose and jumping when curing.
Don’t worry about people stealing an idea. If it’s original, you will have to ram it down their throats.

i am sure everyone has had this problem and it is annoying but its not as bad as when the hole is to big.i have had it so many times i have developed my own technique. put your deck spinning as fast as it will go then gently force the record onto it. spin the record backwards a few times then take it off, turn it over and repeat. might take a few goes but eventually you will wear away enough plastic for it to fit comfortably. also you wont sound like a whiney bastard if you take it back you will sound like a disgruntled customer and they will probably swap it for you
