Peverelist and Appleblim Live at The Villa (Oslo, Norway)

Post by core news » Mon Mar 02, 2009 11:43 pm

Peverelist and Appleblim played in Oslo last Friday, but we decided to see Drop The Lime instead. Kinda regret it now..

Anyway, here is a recording of their sets:

Both brilliant.

Pev's set is amazing as expected, similar to the excellent set at Corsica with one or two unknowns.

The 'blim set in particular really excited me as it was totally different approach from the one i expected. I guess it was me making an assumption due to his foray into the dubtechno sound, the initial PIPS releases and the general word of mouth from people who have seen him play recently.

This is dancefloor pressure and really encapsulates the wave of fresh and exciting music being made currently - one for the jaded.

DJ Spiro contacted me with some more information about the set. The first seven minutes are Knark Kent and the next 45 minutes are by DJ Spiro, then Peverelist plays for about 40-60 minutes and Appleblim the rest of the recording.
