Fleeting Vision of Sinc

Post by sinc_vision » Wed Oct 18, 2006 4:58 pm

Hey peeps, have been reading the forums for many a month now but have finally got round to getting involved with all the talkiness.

Am trying my best to get people in Japan excited about Dubstep but they really aren`t taking to it as much as i thought they might (Japanese people tend to get easily swayed by new fashions). Surprisingly though i have more luck getting women interested in it than men.

Anyway, here`s to being back in London in time for the DMZ Birthday Bash.

Easy Dubsteppers,

Dubstep has been slowly infecting my brain for the past year (i'm a Mary Anne Hobbs baby!) and have just pulled my finger out my ar*e to get up on the finest arena for dubstep chat & knowledge.

Been bangin Barefiles for time and am regularly donating my wages to Blackmarket. I played a dubstep set on UK's Finest 87.5 (which is one of the largest pirates outside of London) on Sunday night and the phone lines popped! Wicked fun.

Errm, also run LIVE Recordings which is a youth empowerment project teaching disadvantaged kids from South East London how to run an independent record label. We have two realeases in shops by Vinyl Villains (Grime crew) and WSO (Hip Hop Crew) respectively. Our next release is by a brilliant singer songwriter called Jamie Woon, which will have a Burial remix. But more on that in later posts.

Peas to all. Look forward to shooting the breeze with y'all.

Mrkl :D

been sporadicly posting for a while but never introduced myself.

I'm Dave, from Point Lonsdale, south-east coast of mainland Australia. Been feeling dubstep ever since I heard the first mix Paul Rose put out, randomly downloaded it and though whoa what the fuck is this. Dubstep scene in Melbourne is just starting to pick up now, quite a few punters are getting heavy into it, dj's are playing it, we had kode9 out last week and skream tomorow (woo!) and a few producers are also getting in on the action.

I'm producing a bit too, on a more organic tip, for now. http://www.myspace.com/musicflippo Have some more tracks up soon, when I get around to finishing them ;). Sorry about the low quality of Techno Ghosts, had to squeeze it to upload it.

peace

Evenin' all. Do alot of reading, alot of listening and not so much of the posting. Thought it's about time I said 'ello.

Cheers to the forum for keeping me entertained in my lunchbreak, Massive respect to Barefiles for filling up my hardrive and ipod and DMZ for a revelation of a club night and *breath* ...dubstep for restoring my faith in music (and emptying my f**king bank account.)

There hasn't been a scene this fresh for too long. I was losing faith after watching D&B morph into 180bpm trance.

Cheers.

Hello everyone, I've only been into dubstep for a year or so, was the request line and Vex'd that first got me into it, but only really started investigating the genre as a whole in the last few months. I'm from around Glasgow, big up Electric eliminators for bringing some good nights to our town :D
