RANKING RECORDS FORTHCOMING - RAN008 and Gentleman's Dub

Post by ranking records » Wed Mar 04, 2009 8:35 pm

Here's a little update from the Ranking Records camp:

RAN008 - Zulu (Planas) / Living in Darkness (Quantum Soul)

This one getting support from Walsh, Bunzero, Beezy, Dj Fidelity, Dj P-Dex, GLP, Dj Syte and Dj Signus.

Available early April

RANEP002:

Gentleman's Dub Club - Member's Only E.P

After overwhelming demand for recorded material, Gentleman’s Dub Club’s ‘Members Only’ E.P is the first outing from this increasingly popular Leeds-based outfit. The E.P is a showcase of some of the tunes the GDC have been rocking up and down the country, and on hearing these it is no surprise that they are packing out venues from Bournemouth to Liverpool and everywhere in between. From soulful rootsy numbers like ‘Questions’ and ‘No Misery,’ to driving, dance-fuelled tunes such as ‘All Nighter’ and ‘Gentleman’s Sleng ft.Bongo Chilli’ there is enough variation here to display both the band’s tight-as playing and their ability to turn a normal crowd into a seething rabble.

To celebrate the launch of the E.P we will be holding a party at Cargo, Curtain Road on the 18th of March. Details of the event can be found here:

http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=6 ... 857&ref=ts

You can find previews of both RAN008 and the GDC dubout of a track called 'E.S.T' here:

other material from the album can be previewed at the band website

www.myspace.com/gentlemansdubclub

We are also in the process of putting together our first album, which will be a selection of brand new and unreleased material. More details to follow...

Massive thanks to everyone who continues to show their support for the Ranking sound!

Yeah, 2 absolutely huge tunes, and very versatile...Can drop these pretty much any time throughout a set.

Nice to see some of Gentleman's Club stuff reaching to the masses too...Keep it live homies!
