Propellerheads, fix your game up.
Things to sort in Reason:
The Combi. Needs 8 knobs and 8 buttons. If that takes to much screenspace, add it to a hidden panel like the RV7000.
Redrum. Why can't we reverse samples at the click of a button? 4 versions deep and you haven't added this basic feature. WASTE.
NNXT 'Advanced' Sampler. OK, so we can do a fair amount of shit with it, but why can't we tie all of the 'advanced' controls to the combi unit controls? ADSR + Filter cutoff simply makes for a waste Combi. To add insult to injury, it was actually updated somewhat in v4 with the sample import function....
Dr.Rex player 2. The old one is ok, but why can't we chop rexes live like in Liveslice (FL) or any VST sampler..............

The filter unit. Bag of shite. BP/LP12/LP24. Why isn't there the HP & Notch filters from the Subtractor/NN19/NNXT? Why do I have to plug shit through the Malstrom to use the Comb filters.... Put it all on one filter unit you retards.

Thor. Do you know what, don't get me started on that.
Midi editing is waste.
Working with samples is double waste. Why cant we import audio samples directly into the sequencer? Having to trigger the midi from the start of each sample is teeeediooouuuusssss. FAIL.
Bollox, I'm using Reaper for now, and if I get the chance Logic or Cubase 5.
Wish list.
Sample import into Malstrom.
ECF-42 B All the filters from Thor without the fucking long winded process of wiring shit through it and battling drop down menus.

When is recycle 3 coming out?
In Adobe Audition the user is able to zoom so far into the wave form that they can actually see & fix zero crossings by hand. In Recycle, the is no zero crossing fix, which means rex slices give clicks and pops.
Recycle three needs to be skinable, because currently it is ugly and difficult to look at.
Might as well chuck some decent offline effects processes in there too. Audacity kills Recycle at its own game (beatslicing). Only problem is that it doesn't output rexes because its a proprietry format.
Grrr... haha!

My biggest problem with Reason was I found the sound from it quite weak. I couldn't get a really good sub/bass from the synths and I found I had to EQ every sound.
I use Cubase and FL now and I have to EQ a lot less and everything still sounds better. There are a few VSTs I use for sub/bass and they sound much bigger than Reason.
I do love Reasons sequencer tho.
I will try it again in a few months to see if I can get more out of it.

Reason is a sick program on the whole, but when you use a tool day in and day out, it's limitations become apparent and rapidly vexxing.
Some of the things I've mentioned wouldn't require much programing, cuz the basic code is already in place (Reverse sample function and filters on one unit for instance)

Some real defensive retards here seem real scared about the big wide world of full audio support and VST compatability in a real life actual DAW.
Isn't Reason just a reasonably well put together toy, an improvement on ReBirth, kinda like a sauté placenta with garlic and rosemary still isn't making me hungry s33n?

Your brutal honesty is refreshing 
The pad in Ghosts is simply two Malstrom oscillators with no effects. There are several factory soundbank rexes in 'Bristol' and 'Breakbeat thingy'. The arpy trancey track was just a two hour muck around, nothing complicated.... It relies heavily on Albino 3 presets.
Certainly nothing to write home about, I admit, but I'm not bigging up my music production skills here am I.
All the tunes I'm happy about I'm keeping close to my chest. They'll be released when I'm ready, and the productions will speak for themselves.
My previous 'gripes/points' remain.

Also if you click on the source you want to work on on the left hand side it takes u straight to the desired unit.
Or you can close all units and open the one you need and then close it when done. Nothing worse than messing with the wrong units buttons anyway so its nice habit to get into.

It is quite weak to try and put Reason (or any other DAW down) really. There are a lot of producers who are making good music that is getting signed on good labels and filling dance floors that has been made on Reason.
I just prefer using something else at the moment and I wouldn't say its shit or for retards and not possible to make good music on.
