The tune is awful, the flow doesnt work at all with Eastern Jam.

I was expecting to hear a much more minimal track so the emphasis would be on the vocal. Because Eastern Jam is such a powerful and busy tune the vocals just end up being drowned out and pointless turning it into any other chart hip-hop tune.

With regards to Snoop Dogg actually flowing over dubstep, I don't see why there is any hype on here. Has Snoop actually put out anything decent in the past 5 years? I've never rated him as a talented lyrical MC.

I understand the enthusiasm from producers like Plastician to work with such a big name and the opportunity to get your name out there but I really dont think Dubstep can/will benefit from big labels pumping big money and commercial artists into the scene, it will merely encourage more people to come in and out of the scene to make a quick buck with shit throw away tunes.

Hold tight this tune being rinsed on the back of the bus by school kids in a few weeks...

Unless, of course, there's been a seismic shift in opinion on this on here in the last couple of months that I'm not aware of. Hypocritical, really.

Don't mind the tune for the record.
The only thing worth reading here.
Bullshit, who doesnt love The Bug n Flowdan, Taz n Durrty Goodz, Starkey n durrty Goodz, Trim n Blackdown, all the new bits on Keysound. Seriously what the fuck are you on about. Probaly the only thing not worth reading here.
Personally I do love these collabs u mention. So obviously does Slakk. Thats my only point, take it or leave it. Read the rest of the posts and youll see what was meant.

Gave this a listen a few times, I am not pleased with it at all. Although I know this is a huge oppurtunity for other artists involved. I don't think that the general public will appreciate it or understand it. There is no flow in the lyrics and lyrics over the music. Might as well start doing collabs with a mumbling Bob Dylan .

I honestly don't see it going to far. I just hope that those who are writing with / for mainstream artists don't get over there head and remember where there roots are.

That would never happen. Dubstep is not going to take over the hip hop scene. We're merely working on a project to see how it sounds

Thats not what I mean't. I guess what I am saying is that sometimes people get over there own head because they start doing collabs with mainstream popular artists. Contracts are signed. A new reputation is beginning, the old reputation is being kicked out the door....

For some reason it's not showing up in iTunes but here's a version of the album mixed by MRK1!

totally agree.

Its great for chase & status! i bet there album sales will triple becuase of this. i can't see how snoop dogg is gonna get anything out if this really? or anyone else?

BUT i know this is only 'scratching the surface' of whats going on... i'm intrigued to see whats next, but if its snoop rapping over another chase & status tune, my urge to 'scratch the surface' will rapidly dissapear...

its probably bigger than the population of britain. add to that your casual snoop fans and general hiphop/crunk fanbase worldwide and your looking at a ridiculous amount of people.

This is good for dubstep, really, regardless of the fact that we've heard eastern jam a million times and the chorus is a bit messy etc etc i agree, but, there are MILLIONS of people who havnt heard of dubstep who WILL have after this drops.

at the end of the day, there was bound to be a commercial dubstep thing along the way somewhere.... rather snoop, murs etc than fuckin 50 cent and nelly

gwarn chase and status - big up yaselves
