Fair play. There really are some things far more important than Bloc.
To be fair, Necta Selecta played a sick mini set of Funky. I was happy

Yes bruv that was ill..... we shocked the fuck out rolling on the floor and all sorts.
We continued that vibe thru the night and there was people taking photos of us in the amusement arcade headbutting the bottom of the 10p machine.
Afrika Bambaata's set was pretty wack but Salt N Pepa and MC Hammer is enough reason to act like you're out in Croydon for 15 minutes

Stunning weekend, great venue, good vibes, Plastician tore it up, as did just about all Bristol crew, Jamie Lidell, Clark... but actually I think best feelings of the weekend were in the Jaks on Saturday night for the bassline crew, DJ Godfather, then later in the god-fearing hours of Sunday morning for Jerome Hill. Happy days.

How about murdering your own anthem "Planet Rock" by playing Ciara's 1-2 step acapella over the top of it??
Did the man think he was playing at liquid nightclub in sutton?

Don't go knocking Liquid/Legends/Love 2 Love/whatever its called now....
Yeah Afrika's set was pretty shabby. And I'm still fumin' over the fact that him being late meant Carl Craig's set was cut in half

I'm not that surprised he was shit. Years ago (NYE 95/96) I went to a rave on the east coast he was playing at, I was so excited to be seeing on of my childhood heroes play (yep I'm old enough to have bought th Crucial Electro with Planet Rock on it when it came out). We found the room where he was playing and walked in to discover....him playing Mark Morrissons "Return of the Mack" to a half empty room, could not get out of there quick enough.
Sad memory for me.

still recovering...
highlights:
* Richard Devine's live set - easily one of the best live set I've heard
* AFX & Hecker
* Egyptian Lover playing Tour de France / live 808 jamming on a Funtkion 1 soundsystem
* FSOL
* 4 Hero playing excellent old skool hardcore
* Bizzy B
* Ceephax Acid Karaoke playing Bonnit Tyler - so bad, it was quite good!
* the water slides especially Space Bowl + the one with the inflatable boat
lowlights:
* Finnegan's fish and chips - possibly the worst i've tried ever
* carl craig - playing a really flat set in sunglasses
* King Cannibal - He should have been booked to play this year!

agreed being a connoisseur of battered food, that fish supper wis fuckin dire. probably tasted better on way back up.
highlights clark, bass clef & mad professor. disappointed with robert hoods set seemed to let few tracks just play out. lacked the flow/vibe of his dj sets.
