Elemental - Cardiff : New sister night

Hello there to those of you from the south west area you may know of Cardiffs only dark DnB night Elemental!

They have just found a new venue & will be starting up a sister night in the near future. Its going to be an experimental but mainly Dubstep.. To the darker deeper trippy side to keep in tradition of things. It will also involve a bit of minimal, breakstep, hyper bass + many more.

So they are looking for decent djs in the local'ish area to come down and help spread the music. Get back with links of sets and we'l check em out!

im always up for playin for promoters who want me to draw for the deep n dark stuff rather than the usual wobbly crowd pleasers.
wheres the venue then? i came down to play for the elemental boys time ago when they were doin nights in the philharmonic, gud to see they're back on the step.

safe safe, hows things guys. good new year?

i been wanting summin darker to come through on the dubstep side for a while. so we decided to do it our selves. the new venue is the taffod, bit diffrent but we'v been a few times recently and its a nice lay out. So let just hope ppl can be arsed to cross the bridge out of town n listen to summin a bit more out there...

Atki2 and king cannibal agreed, just need to sort dates.. so that in motion sometime soon.

either way chuck me a set of what sorta thing you looking to do, so we can get themes of night organised. Will chuck um some more details when every things a bit clearer.

sweet i love the tafod really dark and intimate, a good system and some heads in there and that place wud go off.
only prob is its hard to get peeps out of the town centre even tho its only riverside, but i think if theres a time to do it its now. the diff seems to be in a bit of a transitional phase with people looking for new sounds and gravitating towards dubstep.

is this anything to do with new night james mud is doin there?

im guna put together a new mix in the next few days aint done one in time. ill send u the link when its done.

Thats MASSIVE news! Best keep us updated on the where and when!!
And ive never been to the tafod myself, but it does look nice n' cosy in the pictures! But whats this about mud changing/moving to the tafod? Would be gutted if they turned out to be the same night lol

Oh, and I dunno what your plans are, but if youre looking for a reeeal nice soundsystem I could put you on to the jigsore crew. Theres as much knowledge behind that soundsystem as there is bass...and theres alot of bass.

...still not over the thought of Atki2 in Cardiff

Nah Mud isnt the same night.. We goin for a different root. Like you say cardiff finaly opening up a bit than jump up D'n'B. So hopefully this will go well.. like you say as long as people get off the arse and walk across that bridge.
but if u like music that much its worth it + in the summer think it will be well chillin poping out by the river for a smoke!

And yeah the tafod is a nice venue, king cannibal kicked off atleast for the people who knew what to expect.
atki2 is Badman. seen him play a few times in bristol n gave him props. so last time i saw him just asked him str8 up n hes well up for it to!!!

AS for the rig, Jons in the middle of sorting summit. but will let you know

Nice 1 for your surpport... i dont realy go out in cardiff any more. just for the fact no1 i want to see ever plays around & when they do you gotta pay way over £10 to watch bout 5 other people you dont wanna see.

Ok we're a bit later than expected but where back... this event has got a mixture of jungle/break-harcore mash-ups.... to.. Dark dnb, Dub-Breakstep just to get us off to a nice start!!!

but future events will be changing themes of music & some big names to come.

yeah Higher Learning was me, Ruffstylz & Dregz. I also helped to put on that King Cannibal night with Huw and John from Swn. We played it as well but the sound was pretty bad and I was running round trying to sort everything out so wasn't the best representation. yeh that was to do with the (swn) festival thing last year... had king cannibal & skinny man headline...lol.
