i used to be a fifa man. but then i played proevo and was converted by it's sensational gameplay and accurate represenation of the beautiful game.

now i can't touch fifa. moreover, i can't believe no one else has anything to say on this very important topic!

fifa is an awful game, made to look nice and everything but plays really badly

pro evo however is a brilliant game

exackly. i did really like the indoor option on fifa 97 tho.

I didnt play the last Pro Evo but the one before that was pants. Even if the gameplay on Pro Evo was better than Fifa (which I don't think it is), I wouldn't be able to take playing as 'Man Red' with 'Giggles' on the wing.....that just aint right.

I like FIFA cos it allows build up and patience, where as everytime I've played Pro Evo, its been arcade style end-to-end.

Speaking as a 2-time Farnborough Fifa Champion I can only support the game which has brought me so much joy!

Don't knock the original and best

ps. don't loose focus on the greatest game ever made

Why? Because its a better game. If I wanted to play an arcade game, I'd go to an arcade instead of wasting my p's on a waste game like Pro Evo. Its more popular for a reason - the masses don't understand football!!!! Its the kids' and students' game. You can score more goals so its more 'fun' for multiplayer gaming. Fifa is the connoisseur's game.

Plus, you get Andy Gray on the mic.

Pro evo is probably the least 'arcadey' sport game I've ever played.

Primarily because on any decent difficulty setting, playing and scoring is really quite tricky.

And whilst its pretty easy to learn the basic controls, they go stupidly deep in terms of useful tricks, passes and moves you can pull off.

Not played fifa for a while mind...

Exactly, Fifa, if i see an opening a thousand yards out and i shoot...................it will go in, and thats realistic....youll never catch pro evo slipping like that, much more realistic, arcady? hmmmmm

Maybe in years gone by, but certainly not in the last couple. Its funny cos the same arguments are being used against both games, perhaps it is just what we are used to. IMO, FIFA is the original and best.

Ahh, the many hours of my life that ive devoted to that game...

I could probably be fluent in about 10 languages by now if id used the time differently!

Have played Pro Evo a cpl of times at m8s houses but i cant really see wot the fuss is all about. Seemed a bit dull to me. Jerky gameplay as well.

Likin wot ive seen of FIFA 07 so far: bit smoother passing, ball hangs in air more lifelike, bit more difficult to score (depends on player tho - rooney and adriano can shoot from anywhere and usually hit the target).
Can't get the hang of tricks yet tho - im old school D-Pad (not stick) for movement and I'm hopin that wont limit me in wot i can do...

anyone play online? always wondered wot the standard was like but never got round to tryin...
