Jacqui Smith said Whitehall needed "to enlist the widest possible range of support" as she unveiled a new UK terror strategy.

The plans include training 60,000 workers in vigilance for terrorist activity and what to do in an attack....

...Ms Smith said the "extremely broad-ranging" strategy would include:

* Training workers in counter-terrorism vigilance and response
* Tackling anti-democratic extremist voices in the community
* Supporting mainstream pro-democratic Muslim voices
* Preventing access to internet information on setting up attacks
* More funding for anti-terror police and intelligence resources

Another hideous law passed on the part of Jacqui Smith, specifically geared to discriminate and judge a community.

How many laws will she pass aimed at segregating and judging Britain. What ever your 'medicine' for our 'damaged society' Jacqui, I DONT WANT IT.

How has this woman managed to stay in office?

I cannot think of anyone who has done more damage to a country in such a short period of time as this heinous witch.

Jacqui Smith is indeed a heinous witch.

Hopefully all the shop and hotel workers will treat the training with the contempt it deserves. Every job I've ever had has involved doing some pointless, boring, instantly redundant training (manual handling being the obvious example) but this takes the fucking biscuit.

So for all of you who dont know here is a list of things Jacqui Smith has/is implementing to bring about Orwellian 1984.

1. Access to monitor emails; txts; phone calls WITHOUT a warrant by any government agencies (inc. for example the food health and hygiene agency)

2. Anti terror laws - ah where to begin. well these are all fukd.

Most recent of which is the subject of this topic about training us in xenophobia.

3. Communications Act

4. ID cards

I know there are more cant think atm... please help me add to this list of reasons why Jacqui should be put on a witch trial.

shes going on about dirty bombs aswell and that they're going to kill us all and make areas radioactive and shit but I swear experts have said that dirty bombs dont cause much more damage than the actual physical explosion and that they're more likely to cause terror and panic. i've got an inbuilt aversion to the tories and everything they stand for, but they would definitely be more lenient on civil liberties than labour

the vast majority of them voted against 42 day detention, where anne widdecombe was the exception in voting with the labour government (david davies resigned over the whole thing)

and they have categorically stated that they won't bring in i.d cards

don't mistake me as a conservative, i'm not, but the evidence is there

Why is British policy on a subject such as this being fuelled by a neo-con think tank??! It was neo-cons like Wolfowitz that got the US and puppydog Britain in the situation in the first place.
