white serato disk rollcall

Post by djrodan » Thu Mar 26, 2009 1:23 am

Just wondering what dj's out there have the white serato disks. I know I have no chance of owning them. I saw martyn had them when i was at dubwar a few months ago, big ups!

I like the classic black disks but i used some clear disks the other day and my friend had glow in the dark slip mats under them, that was realllllly sick.

whats your favorite color serato disks?

Those whites are special edition that only came in that pack pictured above with the bag, white SL1 and special editon Nike Dunks. There were only 200 sets made, afaik, and only handed out to certain DJ's. From what Ive seen over on the Serato forums, they do give out the white vinyls by themselves to certain people, but you cant buy them.

I usually just get whatever color they have in stock at guitar center when I need new ones.. blue and red right now.

The colored templates are a bit pricey anyway, unless anyone knows where to get them cheap?

I've seen the picture disc ones, theres a custom A-Trak one that looked pretty sick, can picture joker rocking some purple ones in the near future........

I have Traktor and white control cinyl, you can pick them up from any shop. Plus Traktor is supposedly a lot better than Searto in terms of both reliability and feature, although pesrsonally I don't know.

Ive had a few colours now. I had Black, Gold (for some reason they jumped alot) Green, Blue, Mauve i am currently rocking clear ones, however i have a LTD 10" set that i have ordered from USA. They look sick.

I do have one question is there any difference in what the colours mean?
I heard rumours that each colour had a difference??

Plastician may know? Where are you on this? I'd Love to know why you switched??

hahaha nah man i meant its all about dubplates for me! they are my personal preference. i think all this new digital dj technology is wicked and some people are doing some really cool stuff with it. one thing tho! can people PLEASE learn how to set up serato properly before they play out with it! so many people stood there like lemons setting up or dismantling all the stuff and eating into my set time is not the one! aside from that keep on seratoing! :D

I have Yellow marble effect Disks.... the roll call for those will be pretty low ;)

The colours don't make any difference, they just look cool!!!
