Man the 2nd Birthday Partay was off the hook.. had so much fun. Thanks Void.

So stoked about Goth Trad too! Will be celebrating my 1 year of voidness with that crazy Jap again. Will come more enlightened and prepared this time however. Let's hope we don't have a repeat of the police-dog-raid-thing like last years Goth-Trad..

^^

cheers it was nuts I agree.

police dogs wont be back, they came in for 2 shows from memory and realised quick the dogs couldnt do anything with that amount of bass, in fact it looked like it was harming them.

Even funnier were the 2 cops standing out the back on Friday. the chick looked like she was feeling it even noticed a couple of head movements. Her elder male officer looked over to her mid shake and she stopped suddenly and started looking all proffesional again.

And yeah Goth Trad is goin to destroy that place. His show is still the most intense any Void has seen. He going to NZ this time also so lookout NZ crew!!

Most intense night Void has ever seen????? How I wish I could have experienced and listened to him more that night  Wasn't fair being one of my very first times in a club-environment like that, very first void/dubstep night..dogs and cops everywhere in the city as well as in the venue... fucken props to you guys for lining it all up again!! It's like my second chance haha..

new VJ in town

Post by ghostleg » Thu May 21, 2009 1:16 am

alright sydney steppas,

just arrived from NYC and looking forward to the Goth Trad show as my first taste of the void scene. i've been lucky enough to have been around the legendary club Love in NYC for the past couple of years, regularly getting pummeled by their insanely large bass bins by Dub War, Trouble & Bass, and Sub Swara.

i do visuals, both premixed recordings and live VJ. recently worked with Geko Jones of the Dutty Artz crew on their New York Tropical and Que Bajo parties, and Emch (aka Subatomic Sound System) for the launch of Lee Perry/Dubblestandart dubstep record at Love.

also in the process of building my DJ skills, and brought about 150 records from the US with me, about half of which is dubstep, and the rest is various other bassy stuff. don't have decks yet and would be open to meeting folks who're up for a session.

samples of recent VJ work will be up soon. hit me if you're interested in collaborating.

'nuff respect to the Sydney massive. see on the floor June 5,

ghostleg

guess you're talking about goth-trad being cancelled due to immigration issues ... he's been replaced with kito tho, which should be sick! shame to not see the 'trad but he'll be back later on in the year.
