Rusko Live

Post by malstromabuser » Wed Apr 01, 2009 12:49 pm

Has anyone seen Rusko's live set yet?? I've seen the pics on his myspace holding a bass guitar....?? :?

Basically want to know if its worth paying the money to see him in brighton at the end of this month?

Thats abit harsh really.

Seen a vid of him play live on youtube, its knocking about on here somewhere. Its not brilliant though, he plays one of his tunes and just tweaks it abit on the video so IMO i dont think its that good.

Just watched the video's on youtube, it seemed like a really surreal gig. bit strange with the stops between tracks, although im just used to seeing Dj's. i guess its normal as live bands all do that
He seems to be trying to do too much at once, like controlling the synths, playing the bass guitar and it looks like he has the option to put in extra drum hits aswell, basically every element of the tunes!
Dont get me wrong im well feeling it, fuckin awesome idea, been thinking about starting a live dubstep band for a while, i just think he needs more people. or maybe one more person! ...ahem!
But yea fair play to him, its all about trying something new!!!
Gonna see it for real in Sheff at TTC hopefully!

Here is three small clips in one youtube vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1Wue-VAaY8

It's from december 2008 when he played at my local club. It was awesome, and yeah, he played on a funktion 1 sound system!

I was working at bloc as the editor and I edited his live show

although I didn't actually see it live, it sounded and looked really fun

same energy same drive and bass as normal stuff

just with an instrument instead of decks

dunno why this would put you off
if anything its more energetic and fun

Seems like a pretty hype show! Gonna try to catch his live show when he comes to LA this month.
