After Silkie/Quest & Pokes' amazing night in February, our last party of the season and our first FREE entrance after 2 1/2 yrs @ Jazz Upstairs.

This one special, Martyn's return in Athens after 1 1/2 yrs, this time we find the opportunity to prepare an LP Launch night, get one of ours to open up proceedings , then Martyn's 3024 sound and then to top it all up TRG...

Martyn's set was out of this world. Him & Kode 9 are playing for me the most forward thinking music between 130-140bpm. TRG proceeded to simply burn the place down till 4am, we concluded with 30mins of jungle past,present & future and farewell-ed the venue>>> sick sick vibes, no restrictions in there whatsoever, management enjoyed it every bit too

one of the most important venues in Athens has just gone by ways of extreme hustlin, dealing and plain blatant 'shooting' right outside the venue in the last 4 yrs. it had to close. we had to make one final blow.

Jazz Upstairs exists as a venue since 1997, mostly jazz gigs but went through a house period until it went back on to pure jazz and then in Oct. 2006 we brought back the 'intimate club' experience hosting the following names:

DJ Flight, Shylo MC(Future Thinking), Rohan(Bassbin), MC Justyce , Pinch, DJ Storm, Calibre, Macc, Loefah, Stamina MC, Mala, Marcus Intalex, MC DRS, Sgt Pokes, Silkie & Quest(Deep Medi) and last Thursday Martyn & TRG.

along ourselves taking the last DJ set of every night there the following Greek DJs graced the decks on a special warmup set each and every time: Yegor, MC Yinka, Anna Mystic, MC Daz, Lo Fi, Alexees(Urban Disco), Skitlab, Petit Bear(Beatknicks), Mista Operator(Dubwise HiFi), Thomey Bors(Beatknicks) & J Melik(Re:Vinyl), our own Lowdown North DJs A.Kid & Saint

I'm the last person on this forum to enjoy starting drama but I'm left with very few options.
This was the only gig I've done (and will ever do) without an agent and the only gig I didn't get paid. The wire never came through and after a few weeks of lame excuses the promoters have ignored my emails.
I hate to name and shame but I have no other option, if you deal with this crew better know who you're dealing with.

I am really sorry for what has happened but you haven't dealt with the d2 crew here my friend but with a:formal regarding your booking and payment responsibilities. Secondly it was a joint effort and Martyn was on the same bill and neither him nor anybody else(ASK Pinch, Loefah, Mala, Stamina MC, Justyce, Silkie & Quest, Pokes, DJ Flight, Rohan, etc.) we have booked in the past had ANY problem with the payments plus everybody went through their agency mate.

Before you go on about things like "..if you deal with this crew better know who you're dealing with" I need to put the record straight cause you are making a big mistake on naming the CREW responsible for your payment Cosmin. I totally get your anger but you are wrong in blaming everybody in our team for not paying you. You need to sort this out with them and not instead have a go at everybody.

d2/Ital Soundz is NOT responsible for this and I wish you hadn't go through all that.

Whatever the mud or hating ever gone on we are coming back in OCTOBER 17th with BREAKAGE & SP:MC for the first time in Athens.

It says Ital Sounds on the flyer, how it works internally i don't know, nor have the patience to find out about, sorry mate! I assumed it's 2 dudes putting together a party, not a multi-department collaboration game. Easy to say talk to the other guy who doesn't reply emails!
I take no pleasure in this, trust me. But I'm not one you'd like to test!
