Outlook Festival Launch Roll Call - AFTERMATH
Ridiculous line up. I'm reaching from Notts for this one so it'd better be full of ninjas.

For those lucky enough to have attended Outlook 2008 last year, please, just take a moment to don your memory shades’n’slacks, for those that unfortunately didn’t please take a second to imagine; the Croatian coast, perfect sunshine, clear seas, beach bars and boat raves. N-type (voted best dubstep DJ 2007, 2008), who was traipsing affably around the site, said this: “I was in the sea with Hatcha (Kiss 100) and there was a beach bar blaring out dubstep. The party boat was just mooring. The sun was shining, and I turned to Hatcha and said ‘look at the state of dubstep now.” Aw. A touching statement indeed. No longer in the grasp of their control, this festival represents a coming of age for the scene which the genre’s pioneers can rightfully sit back and observe with glee. But it’s not just the initial creators- clearly, for everyone else who has followed the development of the scene with any degree of avidity over the last few years; this strikes a certain nostalgic chord. Rusko, one of the scenes’s shining stars said: “Outlook was completely different, everyone was there together with no segregation between artists and fans, and that type of vibe was amazing.” For other attendees, the prospect of Outlook last year was too ideal and too quick- thinking to miss. A whole festival in the sun, with a relentlessly tasteful lineup and novelty parties on boats? Bring it on.
The only obvious malcontents during the course of the five days were the local fish, who seem to dislike excessive bass frequencies quite a lot. Sometimes there’s just no accounting for taste.
So, this Saturday the 18th of April, join Vagabondz, Subdub and New Bohemia for the precursor to possibly the most ambitious project yet to emerge from the UK dubstep scene – the launch party for the Outlook Festival 2009 at London ’s Coronet Theatre with around forty of the biggest names in dubstep, jungle and reggae.
