Something sounds a bit weird with it, I think it might be clipping or something but it sounds distorted.
Also I think the wobbles sound really random and out of time - did you just sample the wobble and just pitch bend it into position? The beat sounds quite disjointed too and doesn't really flow that well.
Sorry I don't particularly like it, just my opinion.

I arranged it to be a little off, just for a bit of change. Sliced the bassline of the originial, re arranged it and added 3 more synths. IMO I think it works depending on what medium your listening to it on. With no subs I agree, it doesnt sound right but the low end from the bassline is dead on when you hear it loud. Sounds great in my car. May go back and tweak it based on what you have said.

cheers mars. I started with it on time, then changed the start on the sample and even know it was off I liked it. If you like the tune apart from that I can go back and fix it, it will take me all of 5 seconds to do. Actually one of my fav tunes of all time, a speed garage track from 97 had the weirdest kick arrangement, 10 kicks every 2 bars, sounded like a trainwreck but it worked really well. Tune was by Blu Peter and thats all I know.

could you elaborate on the u-turn? if I am getting you right I take it you mean going into the bassline for 2 bars then back to chainsaw?? If I am correct the idea was along the lines of the original, as in the your trying to start the chainsaw, it starts then once connecting to the tree (or object your trying to saw) it makes the bassline. I went with the idea of pitching the bassline down as in the chainsaw comes to life but dies out, then back to the sample of trying to re-start it again.DhrSiN wrote:I really like it, it's heavy. But i agree that it needs a little more work.
At 01:28 the audio-stream makes a U-turn in just a split second which makes it sound odd.
What I really like is the change in pitch throughout the track.
Big up for sharing this in 320, like I said it's heavy.
peace

I really loved that idea from 16 Buts original. I am currently working on an electro remix for Re-Sun titles "Delorean I Drive" following the same idea, with the breakdown being samples from Back To The Future and the bassline being the delorean in full flight. I feel fully inspired by this concept.
Dude..Posting unauthorized remixes at 320 is a big fuckin no-no.
I mean, really- you're looking t5o get blacklisted for shit like this man, what are ya thinking?!

I somewhat agree lad but in this day and age the amount of booty's out there and on this forum alone is plentiful. If 16 Bit wanted me to remove it I would with no hesitation.lukki wrote:Dude..Posting unauthorized remixes at 320 is a big fuckin no-no.
