Hi Dubstep Forum,

under_score are very proud to present a leading light in US electronic music; Chris Sattinger aka Timeblind. An established presence on the New York dance music scene, Chris' pioneering DJ sets helped to establish UK bass music in the city while pulling together techno, jazz and whatever's good. An extremely talented producer, his releases have been quietly raising the bar since 1992, drawing from international influences and combining techno and garage long before it was common practice to do so.

From 1998 till 2004 he lived in New York, co-founding the Polar Bear Club and The Bunker, and later running a night called Tonic. Tonic was a sonic collision where the residents would squish together music by Coltrane, Mego, Timbaland and Roll Deep, spinning everything from techno and UK Garage to disco, funk and arabic dance music. The Bunker continues today (after Timeblind split to Berlin) and now holds some of New York's hottest parties, inviting guests like Daniel Bell, Sammy Dee (Perlon) and Suburban Knight (UR).

With all this activity Timeblind productions have been sporadic, but when they drop, essential! He has released on DJ/Rupture's Soot Records, Orthlorng Musork and Kid 606's mighty Tigerbeat6/Shockout label; as well as prime 90s techno labels such as Probe, Missile, Synewave and Communique. Timeblind is always researching and extending the boundaries of past and future sound system music. His 'Ghostification' 12" still sounds ahead of it's time, with it's cavernous bass and angular funk breaks welded onto a rigid stop-start rhythm; and it became a staple of Kode 9's dj sets during 2006. His first release of 2009 'Version' showcases Timeblind's latest mutations of the dubstep virus; with upfront DJ support from Loefah, Clouds, Bunzero, Dave Q and Orson.

In support we have Narcossist, in a rescheduled slot after he was unable to play our February party. Hailing from a small village in the north of rural England but recently relocated to Bristol, Narcossist is perhaps best known for his track which opens Grievious Angel's amazing Dubstep Sufferah Vol. 3 mix. His new dub "Sunblind" (released on Mindset) is a blindingly good 4x4 bass excursion who's old school organ stabs and swung rhythms will hype any dance. With releases on the well respected labels Clandestine Communications and NakedLunch, expect big vibes and exclusives aplenty!
