Cyrus DJ

Post by cbt » Wed Apr 15, 2009 10:57 pm

Hey any opinions out there on Cyrus' dj sets? Feeling all those 12s on Tectonic ALOT ALOT, but heard his set on Generation Bass and it was mostly not my style, lots of Distance co-production stuff with the distorted bass and generally aggressive vibes. So what's the word, did he change up his style a bunch? He's doing a party this weekend and I'm working way early the next day and I'm down to go out if he's gonna drop some deep atmospheric minimal dark shit, but otherwise I might just skip this one out. Anyways, let me know how it goes down these days with him and thanks in advance and it goes without saying, any way he chooses to do it, mad respect to Cyrus for doing insanely sick productions and being there from day one.

Go see him. Loads of deepness and maybe after the night you will even like the distance collabos

Cyrus' sets take things to new levels! If anyone on here heard the set in Amsterdam 2 weeks ago....different standards!

Also, what people often forget....he is one of the handful who was pushing this sound before it had a name.

My advice, go see him when he's nxt on the bill near you; his sets are pretty unique rather than the same '5' big tunes over n over!

Aggressive vibes - I like the sound of that! Quit your jibba jabba - I'm sure he'll play aggressive and deep shit thats what its all about, mixing things up a bit!

Thanks very much, Im glad you like my tectonic releases.
I kinda try new things with every tune i make but still keeping what some would say as my sound . The generation bass set i done was playing the newest bits i had wrote at the time with only a short time so missed alot of others.

With my club sets i like to mix up all styles. From dark n deep to the big bangers and back round again..roller coaster style. I have some fresh bits to play on saturday so hope to see you there.... at the front of course.

Thanks to every 1 else that commented..i appreciate that.
