basstheworld started as a one-off party april 2005.the cd-release of a mixset by djmaxximus gave name to this session which featured grime, garage and the first takes on what could be called dubstep. As the sound just started to make his way across the canal, it was a mission to make dubstep heard in this city, and so, after further one-offs featuring men like skream,loefah and kode9 the idea of basstheworld@clubjosef was picked up by djmaxximus to be a regular dance.
since then dubstep artist from all over the world joined the session, local producers and djs have their platform too and there s no end in sight. As this one-off session in 2005 set the mission, april17 is goin to be the date for the big 4 years birthday bash@clubjosef. Alot happened... come and join in to celebrate 4 years of dubstep in berlin. happy to see you people.
