Back to 93 and Victoria's secret are sick, the rest of the album, for me, is a let down

Too cheesy for my tastes. "Back to '93" is agreed a nice tune.

LP now announced at redeye and apparently "I Beat My Robot" and "London City" are missing. Can do without London City but I Beat My Robot was one of the better songs on there.

Marmite and Victoria's Secret. Didn't like the rest, which is a shame because I was excited for this one.

agreed. and this isnt supposed to be some massive go at caspa cos i do like a few of his productions....

in my opinion its one of the worst things i have ever heard. i couldnt listen to any tune on it for more than a couple of minutes. i just find it so mind-numbingly boring. if this is going to be marked as a key album in the "sound" of dubstep then that depresses me.

as i said. this is only my opinion. im not gonna knock anyone who likes. i just don't.

How brown is that tounge? hehe kidding!!! but ye 1 or 2 ok tracks, but in my opinion the album is crap. Caspa got me into dubstep so no disrespect to him. But i mean ave it vol1 was and still is really good, still love custard chucker the wobble is so bouncy, velvet rooms is proper nice. tribal basher and the other track are both nice. Ave it Vol 2 has a few nice beats too. Ave it vol 1 & 2 as 1 would have made such a better album then what he has made. I am not crying tho as i have and love loads of caspas tunes. Just hope we see more tunes like his earlier ones

i don't think he's quite grasped the idea of punctuation yet.
or the use of paragraphs.
or sentences for that matter.

Impressed? Do you find that it brought many new or creative elements to the genre?
I'm actually serious because I very much value your opinion.

usually I'll read through a thread that praises a new release, check the samples, and be bored to tears (ok ok call me an elitist). naturally this thread piqued my curiosity, and I have to say that the album is nowhere near the worst dubstep I've heard recently. quite a compliment eh?

a couple thoughts: the album sounds very accessible - you've got caspa's trademark wobblers plus some poppy songs. this will probably define dubstep for loads of people, and why shouldn't it? I'd rather producers maintain perspective and court other styles rather than get stuck in a self-referential cycle. I'm guessing this aspect of the album is what most people here aren't feeling...

lastly - this album would be killer for road trips hehe ...or even commuting? enjoy LA peeps!
