PacDubs are back with the second installment of “Smoke Sessions”. This
time we are bringing over the Dubstep Suave Assassin DJ Clix. Holding it
down at Signature Sundays in Vancouver, Clix is known for his quick
mixing style and cut creation skills. We are proud to have him work up
the dancefloor into a bassline frenzy. Expect support from the Big Reds
(Gobe-Frame-Rhythmicon), selecting a wide spectrum of the dubstep
sounds to warm up Hush Proppa. Opening up the night we have Union
Sound’s DJ Okibi, doing up a live P.A of some original Glitch, Dubstep,
and Drum and Bass.
As always we encourage people to bring down a non perishable food item
along with some wearable used clothing to support the less fortunate.

With over 10 years of DJ experience, Clix shows his mastery of fast
mixing and mind-bending scratch techniques at each and every
opportunity he’s given. He had his first radio spot with DJ Rubix in 2001 in
the Toronto area, and over the years played well over 300 shows
including a role as a scratch DJ with a few bands on stage., most notably
F1rst Gear in 2004. A party promoter as well with his own Failsafe
productions, Clix knows no limits, and his performances prove it. Be sure
to catch Clix @ Signature Sundays, each and every week for the very
best in Bass culture located at Library Square in Yale town.

With over twenty combined years of DJ experience, the mission is a
simple one: to rock your bassbins. Their collective dubstep styles cover
irie dub roots, two step and techno depth and of course, all-out dirty bass

their sound at "Dub Sessions" hosted by The Reef Restaurant, every
second and forth Friday from 8-12PM. Come down for delicious drinks,

Chris ‘Okibi’ Wakefield is an up-and-coming young DJ and producer from
Victoria, BC. With an early beginning in drum and bass and dubstep, and
mentoring from some of the Island’s finest, Okibi is poised to make his
mark in the Island broken-beat scene. He brings a diverse bag of beats
to every set: from rolling liquid funk, to dubwise exclusives, bangin’ jump
up, and glitched out dubstep. In late 2006 he founded Union Sound
System. Okibi stays true to the old school sound, while pioneering future vibes.
