worst of all jumping on every fucking thread when a newcomer who has only just heard of dubstep wants some pointers and showing them the tune you are currently spamming when they might never have even heard of mala or whoever else

i'm getting sick of it, if the tune's good people will discuss it - shameless self promotion shouldn't be allowed and is against the rules

isn't it?

EDIT: O yeah of course if done tastefully self promotion is a vital part of this forum, i am talking about when people TAKE THE PISS
There is no one on this forum who has pissed me off because they are self promoting themselves except for one, I don't really wanna name names but I think the majority of people know who it is.

i meant thats one of the things that takes the piss - like i said before when a total newcomer to the forum want advice about what dubstep is good cos they've only just heard of it and they get a load of spam when it would have been more honest to say for example have you heard joker, anti social, digital mystikz etc (insert any other consistent prolific and respected producers)?
this is so fucking dumb.

please KYS
you're fucking dumb

it's hijacking a thread if someone says I'm new to dubstep who should I check out and someone goes

"let me see...

who's good?

I know!

me!!!"

it's also quite sad
dude, WHO FUCKING CARES??

all you have to do is DON'T CLICK THEIR LINK.

some people are just trying to get their shit out there, if it sucks, it sucks, you dont have to bother doing anything except skimming past it.

who the fuck wants people coming around asking whats good anyways??

to me dubstep is about finding shit yourself, if someone asks for recomendations, they should be linked the web stores, barefiles and get darker along with the mixes forum.
i see where you're coming from and agree, guess I was just saying that I don't like it when people abuse the forum in the ways i was describing

i'm not THAT bothered tho lol

If you see thirsty people in the desert and you have bottles of water for sale, do you not go and attempt to pedal your wares?

Fuck, I believe in our music. When someone asks about a release and I think we have something better, I will suggest they check out our release. I'd take a page from Deep Medi and Mala, but the truth of the matter is that I'm not fucking Mala. I can't just slap our name on something and have everyone say "AH, there's a new Surface Tension Release, I better buy this without listening because if I don't, it'll be sold out."

When nobody knows your fucking name, you buy a lot of ad time. When there is no ad time to buy or you have no outlets with which to buy the ads, you start a street team. When you have done street teaming and street level promotion your entire life, you do it yourself.

If you think Mala and Deep Medi don't have problems selling records, maybe you should look at the names on the records... it must be just as hard to Pedal an average Skream record or an average Clouds record. That must be just as hard for Mala with his name recognition to achieve right? Everything that is released on that album is better than than anyone else can do automatically... I know this because it sells more. Clearly that is your argument Reptilian. That we should just put something out, tell nobody about it, and it will magically fucking sell.

Douche. It might sell just as well if every fucking DJ on Rinse was playing it out of no other motive than they are my fucking boys, and I'm Mala handing them dubs. Alas, we're not of the status yet where we can slap out name on it and people automatically know what that means. It's unfortunate, but if you clearly know who it is you're talking about to the point of linking my threads as if I'm the only one, well then you know exactly what threads to skip. Maybe I'm tired of reading threads about whining little bitches, but I didn't wake up early and make a thread about it.

And PS, when there is new Digital Mystikz out there that isn't fucking Spongebob or Night or some cheese bullshit, I'll recommend it.

You might not like my threads about our music, but our music is good. The suggestions I make are good and if someone asked me where to find some 4/4 kicks, a cheese wobble and a gimmicky bassline, well... I'll send them in that direction. When someone says "Hey, I like this and I'm looking for artists who incorporate jazz into their dubstep."

Fuck if I'm not going to link them to the guy who DOES JAZZ. Or they ask for something vocal, and we have a release just out that has a female vocal... fuck if I'm not posting it. You've obviously never hustled shit in your life. Not weed, not music, not anything. Have you never sold shit over the phone or door to door?

I don't know about you, but I prefer the weedman that delivers at 2am. I also prefer when someone under contract to sell something upholds it. Just saying.

i can find 10 excellent, not good, but excellent releases that didn't gather altogether as much views as this wacky thread, and with that in mind i won't forget to bump my threads as often as i should, been quite neglectful lately...

and how much of the adverts you eat up by the bucket every day are solicited and/or enjoyable and why of all these you picked up the bumps here to deal with?
maybe because here you can find the only people who might eventually share a shade of interest for what you say and you decided to make them your first victim?

useless lamers!

yeah but the thing is, is that you come across too desperate, and it's hard to skip these threads with you promoting music because lets face it, you couldn't help promoting your label even if it were a thread to do with gardening. Just saying.
