How are DJs mixing from Funky into garage/dubstep?
DJs liek Ben UFO are seemlessly mixing from funky into dubstep/garage is he playing funky tunes at like +6 or something?

hmm most of the funky tunes i have seen are around 128-132.deamonds wrote:not really, some are faster than others, its not that hard...
Funky is kind of the same tempo as garage, as is some slow dubstep, its all about SELECTION
obviously some garage is that slow..but not much dubstep is!

cough
we do this on sub.fm often
slow funky (128?) -> normal funky(132?) -> faster funky(135?) -> slower (or works slower) dubstep(137) -> normal dubstep(140)
easy!
some funky is real slow, geeneus for example
some is all over the shop, roska for example
some is quite quick reall like Fuzzy Logik.
make sense? you just have to pick your funky tunes wisely.

I AM NOT OK.
mm, i dont know about other people, but sometimes its got to be done, but litterally a couple of mm (millimeters) very very gradually i find.. cause anything else just sounds bate & shit like just a bate slowdown/speed-up sounds like dog poo.Corpsey wrote:So are people constantly pitching things up and down in a subtle way? Cos even if you go through a load of transitions surely you'll be playing everything at a standard bpm if you're beatmatching it?
