yeah at the risk of contributing to another circular or repetitive argument (uh-oh), i was stunned to see 'dubstep losing criticism' locked for 'moaning'. moaning?! are you serious?! it was the only decent, intelligent discussion on here for ages. barely an ill word out of place, all reasonably argued. seems like some people are determined to lend weight to my tongue-in-cheek 'stalinist' tag.

never mind moaning, if only you could lock a thread for excessive gushing, christ.

I would rather enjoy seeing the lame off-topics (especially "i'm drunk on the internet, i'm so cool")/music/mix topics to be moderated away than temporary lock/close/move threads.
