I cannot stand all this mid range crap people are making. It sounds horrible and is not what got me into Dubstep.

Where has it come from? is it DnB producers getting involved?

most people are making "mid range cack" anyways all taht "dark dubstep" is the worse culprit..

People need some Cyrus & D1 in their library of influence in dubstep.

Whats with people calling their music 'dark' when it is not at all dark? where have these buffoons come from? I swear there seems to be a massive influx of clueless retards who have no idea about any genre of music.

a year or two ago.. People would always say to me. "you make quite dark stuff" and I don't process reeses all day long, infact I haven't touched a reese since the first month I produced but these days, my sound is "mellow"

Probably comes from "dark dnb", which is just really heavy sounding dnb.

Sounds about right. I use to hear people saying there DnB was dark and when I would listen to it I would think it was a little cheesy really.

All this screaming mid range stuff has to go tbh.

Surely 100 Hz would be enough room for the fat stnuc... If not give them a bit of a diet and sit them a wee bit lower I spose...

For eg... Sub, High Cut at 60Hz the Mid Low Cut at 160hz?

Last time I checked, up untill about 90-100 - its still sub bass ...

The question what I often ask myself is why so many people put SO much time into sub bass when its not even got 200hz worth of range! And theres like another 19.9khz to cover (if you're cutting at 20khz)

Well I did, I just made a very deep oscillator on my wobbles...

But I've learnt from those mistakes now!
