Futures give it a rest, music is down to opinion and no-one particularly cares if you don't like midrange so stop telling people who make dance-floor suited tracks that their music is shit, its getting old.
There's 2 clear styles here, dubstep with not alot of midrange bass (Digital Mystikz, Loefah early Skream etc) which is amazing for chilling out, and theres dubstep with alot of midrange bass (Rusko/Caspa, newer Skream, Bar9) which sound amazing on a dancefloor. They are both good in different situations. That's all I'm gunna say about it becuase it's a fucking boring discussion that will never end "Mid range is SHIT!!!", "No it isnt!" "Well I think it IS!!" "Well I like it so shut it!" etc etc etc.
Also, in regards to that "Cut the mid range, drop the bass" thing, have a listen to Zen - Down To Earth. He uses that as a sample just before dropping into a mid-bass wobble
